Our Garden of Art

Our Garden of Art Exhibition

This exhibition highlights the work from participants and the remarkable artists who facilitate the creative process for Willow Springs Creative Centre’s many art programs.

To make art accessible to all, Willow Springs Creative Centre strives to seek out opportunities to bring art making to those who are often excluded, by learning how to adapt, alter and imagine modified ways to use art materials, tools and spaces. Our Garden of Art is a chance to see some of the accessible artwork created in Willow Springs programs, retreats and workshops.

Two metaphors represent Willow Springs’ art programming: the Mosaic and the Garden. The Mosaic illustrates the importance of every piece, no matter how big, tiny, brightly coloured or muted. Together, the collection of all the pieces makes something beautiful. The Garden is reflected in the exhibition, from planting seeds, supporting growth to cultivating success and lastly, tending perennials; like any living thing, we all need to start somewhere, be nurtured, supported, and challenged to reach our potential.
