Pressed Flower Card Workshop

 

In this workshop, press flowers and use them to collage onto watercolour paper cards. Learn how to press the flowers, how to come up with a composition, and helpful tips on collaging onto watercolour paper. The cards can then be used for any occasion including this upcoming Mother’s Day!

All materials will be provided.

Amanda Toope

Hi, my name is Mandy. I am an illustrator, ceramicist and art instructor based in Thunder Bay, Ontario. I specialize in sculptural ceramic work and ink drawings. My pronouns are they/she. I have a dog named Jasper who I love spending time outside with. My work focuses primarily on my own experience with chronic pain/injury, anxiety, fatphobia and my relationship to the outdoors within that context. I have also enjoyed collaborating with other community members and artists, working on projects that speak to broader social issues within our healthcare system.
