Neechee Studio is proud to present

Oh My Creator!

A 10-year anniversary exhibition.

Neechee Studio is a free art and culture program for Indigenous youth ages 14-29 in Thunder Bay. Organized by a team of young, aspiring, and professional Indigenous artists, the Neechee Studio Committee team works together to bring free art workshops once a month in the city.

Neechee Studio was founded by Lucille Atlookan of Eabametoong First Nation and co-founded by Matilda Suganaqueb of Webequie First Nation in 2013. They wanted to have space for youth to explore their cultural identity, learn, and enhance new artistic skills. Neechee Studio aims to empower and create a safe space for Indigenous youth.

This year, Neechee Studio is celebrating their 10-Year Anniversary by putting together a juried art exhibition of 25 artists. These works celebrate the appreciation of Indigenous culture by Indigenous youth in northwestern Ontario and bring awareness to cultural appropriation.

Oh My Creator! is about the amazing support of many youth artists who have built up Neechee Studio into what it is today.
