SUMMER ART CAMPS 2023

Beginning JULY 3. Get your magic wands ready! Design dragons and build the perfect home for gnomes as we look closer at our fairytale favourites. AGES 5 - 7. This camp is FULL.

The Enchanted Forest

Beginning JULY 3. Come along and join us in the art-filled Enchanted Forest. Paint magical landscapes and create mythical creatures during this week of magic. AGES 8 - 11

Clay Creations

Beginning JULY 10. Try your hand at making pinch pots, coils and building slabs. Learn all about different types of clay and even make work that you can wear or hang on a wall. AGES 6 - 9. This camp is FULL.

Ceramic Studio

Beginning JULY 7. Explore the techniques of the masters. Experience the world of pottery and take a hike to a local clay deposit. Campers will have an extended knowledge of clay and how to use it. AGES 10 - 13

Little Seedlings

Beginning JULY 17. Discover art inspired by animals, insects and plants. Campers will try beading, make prints with real flowers, and take home a seed bomb for their own garden. AGES 5 - 7

Island Explorers

Beginning JULY 17. It's time for an island adventure! Inspired by sandy landscapes and underwater sea life. Campers will search for hidden treasure as they create beachy projects. AGES 8 - 11

Artistic Actors

Beginning JULY 24. And ACTION! Theatre meets art this week. Inspired by the gallery's production of Alex the Artist, campers will discover the art of set design, costume creation and prop preparation. AGES 7 - 12

Clay Makers

Beginning JULY 31. With a little bit more time, comes more detailed projects. This full-day clay camp will have campers getting messy! AGES 8 - 12. This camp is FULL.

Thread the Needle

Beginning AUGUST 8. This camp will leave you in stitches! Learning a new embroidery stitch every day, campers will get to design and sew a one-of-a-kind stuffed animal. AGES 9 - 13

Art Experiments

Beginning AUGUST 14. Get your lab coats ready! Invisible ink drawings, optical illusions and more. Campers may get messy this week when making their own slime and even edible ink. AGES 5 - 8. This camp is FULL.

Art Detectives

Beginning AUGUST 14. Calling all super sleuths...can you help us crack this mystery? AGES 9 - 12

Trending Creators

Beginning AUGUST 21. Join us for a #trending week of TikTok art and challenges! AGES 9 - 13

Safari Explorers

Beginning AUGUST 21. This week's art will be on the wild side as lions, elephants and giraffes come alive! AGES 5 - 8

Superhero Artists

Beginning AUGUST 28. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's the gallery's SUPERHERO ARTSITS! AGES 5 - 8

Drawn Together

Beginning AUGUST 28. Learn advanced drawing techniques and work all week on a large-scale artwork. AGES 9 - 13

Refund/Cancellation Policy

No refunds for cancellations made less than one week prior to the start date. Refunds subject to 10% administration fee. The Thunder Bay Art Gallery reserves the right to cancel any workshop, summer art camp or class at their discretion, in this instance a full refund will be applied.
