IMPORTANT COVID-19 RELATED INFO

Summer Art Camp will look somewhat different this year to ensure the safety of campers and staff, due to COVID-19. Summer Art Camp will be abiding by the camp guidelines released by the Ontario Ministry of Health. The Gallery is also working closely with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to ensure that our policies and procedures are meeting their standards.

Throughout the summer each camp will be limited to 8 children, and 2 instructors, keeping the number to 10 individuals per cohort, as outlined by the Ontario Ministry of Health. We have decided to run camps for children 6 – 13 years of age this year as the patience and focus needed to follow guidelines around the new safety protocols and physical distancing measures may be challenging for children younger than 6.

The Gallery’s new Summer Art Camp policies and procedures will be shared with all families upon registration. If you are interested in reading these Summer Art Camp policies prior to registration please contact education@theag.ca for a copy. This document will include information on:

  • The Sign In/Sign Out Procedure (done outdoors, daily screening, temperature checks, etc.)
  • Physical Distancing Measures
  • No Sharing Policy
  • Hygiene & Handwashing Procedures
  • Cleaning Protocols
