Submission Policy
The Thunder Bay Art Gallery’s exhibition programming is primarily invitational. However, the Gallery occasionally accepts unsolicited artist’s portfolios, guest curator projects and traveling exhibitions.
Note that the Gallery’s schedule is usually set 12–24 months in advance by our Curator. Please allow for 5–6 months for a response.
Provide the following information for your proposal:
Contact Information
Name, nom de plume, address, phone number, email, and any links to your website, portfolio, or social media.
CV and Artist Statement
A brief description of the nature of the individual pieces or the collection of proposed works to be considered, or any information that is connected to the submission. Please include a support material list with visuals—name of artist, title of work, medium, and dimensions of original work.
Support Material
Images, video, or audio that exemplify the works being submitted.
- A maximum of 10 high resolution images. Accepted formats: jpeg, png, tiff, bmp, and pdf
- A maximum of 5 HD videos. Accepted formats: weblink (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), mp4, avi, mpeg, mov, and mkv
- A maximum of 5 audio files. Accepted formats: weblink (YouTube, Spotify, etc.), mp3, wav, and aac
Submission
We strongly encourage electronic submissions via: email or file transfer (Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, One Drive etc.).
We also accept physical submissions via drop off or mail via: USB drive, hard drive, and CD/DVD
Incomplete submissions will not be viewed.
Only mail-in-submissions with a self-addressed stamped envelope will be returned.
