Painters Palette (ages 8-12)

Explore painting as a fine-art practice through projects connected to works in the Gallery’s collection, as well as influential painters such as Van Gogh and Emily Carr.  Campers work with watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media while experimenting with layering, blending, expressive mark-making, and composition. Projects encourage students to learn how artists use colour and technique to communicate ideas, emotions, and stories.
