Maud Lewis Pumpkin Patch

 Thunder Bay Art Gallery

Add to your Halloween by exploring our outdoor Pumpkin Patch inspired by Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis.

We’re playing with the cat theme – so prominent in Maud Lewis’ art – and you can too! Will you create a terrifying tabby or a creepy calico on a pumpkin? There’s room for lots of spooky kitties in the Pumpkin Patch. Bring your pumpkin creation (cat themed or not) to the Gallery and you’ll be entered to win a Gallery Prize Pack.

Pumpkins can be dropped off at the Gallery beginning Wednesday, OCT 28 through to OCT 31.

Then on SATURDAY, OCT 31 from 12 to 5 pm, come and see painted and carved pumpkins created by local artists and Gallery staff. Follow the self-guided path to view the outdoor artwork, but beware, you may find some Maud Lewis-inspired black cats along the way. Spooky and cute too!

After touring the Pumpkin Patch, come inside and visit our current exhibitions including Maud Lewis, featuring over 130 works by one of the East Coast’s most famous artists. This exhibition is guaranteed to make you smile.

This Rain or Shine event is purr-fect for families to share.
