The Piitwewetam catalogue is a stunning and heartfelt accompaniment to the exhibition. The 30-page publication features letters written by Ryan and Shannon Gustafson to their son, a prayer by Ron Indian Mandamin, and essays by co-curators Leanna Marshall and Jean Marshall. As an offering of images, words, colour, and ceremony, the book shares the Gustafson’s message of how to grieve in a good way.

Designed by Sébastien Aubin, the catalogue features an embossed cover, full-page image spreads, original graphic elements, and a selection of works in the show.

Piitwewetam: Making is Medicine is currently shortlisted for the Exhibition of the Year (mid-size) by Galleries Ontario. This publication is a beautiful way to experience the show.
