The Gallery has openings on our volunteer Board of Directors and is currently welcoming applications from community members.

As a non-profit, public art gallery, the Thunder Bay Art Gallery exhibits and collects art with a particular focus on the work of contemporary Canadian Indigenous and Northwestern Ontario artists. Touring exhibitions from other museums and galleries are also presented. Extensive educational, outreach and public programs support the exhibitions and engage people of all ages and backgrounds.

The Gallery is currently undertaking an ambitious capital project to build a new and larger facility on Thunder Bay’s waterfront on Lake Superior.

We are seeking people who have skills which support the Gallery’s mandate including fundraising experience as well as a passion for the importance of the visual arts.

Please apply by sending a brief resume and statement of interest to info@theag.ca by May 8, 2020.

Board members are required to regularly attend a monthly meeting and to actively participate in sub-committees that support the work of the Gallery.
