Our special events bring awareness to the community about the Gallery and its partners, while serving as valuable fundraisers to support our exhibition and education programs.  Some of our past fundraising events include:

The Garden Tour and Christmas House Tour are two of our most popular annual fundraising events, each drawing an attendance of several hundred people.  The GARDEN TOUR consists of a self-guided tour of six exceptional Thunder Bay gardens.  Each of the feature gardens includes an on-site Master Gardener to share information and respond to gardening questions from event guests.  In recent years, the tour has incorporated engaging demonstrations, live background music, and public garden spaces, such as the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, the Thunder Bay Conservatory and Willow Springs Creative Centre.

The CHRISTMAS HOUSE TOUR is a self-guided tour of five Thunder Bay homes, and the Gallery, all elegantly embellished in holiday season style by local decorators.  We aim to offer an eclectic and inspiring combination of spaces and decorators, each unique in their holiday vision but similar in their attentiveness to detail.  There are two separate tours offered as part of the overall program: a Saturday evening ‘Candlelight Tour’, which also includes live music, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar at the Gallery, and a Sunday daytime tour, which features additional live entertainment and complimentary warm beverages.
