Welcome to Little Lillie, designed by architect R.E. Mason and built in 1912 for W.C. Lillie. The original exterior was stucco with wood beams and beautiful wood cornices and wide mouldings around the windows. The bottom half is a dark brown brick. In the late 60’s the owners had the exterior clad in tin siding which was fashionable in the day and a way to add some insulation. The interior of the home would be described as a craftsman style with wide millwork and large columns. A wide staircase leads to the second floor. Beautiful leaded, beveled glass and stained glass windows accentuate the beauty of the home. The main and second floor is finished in white oak flooring and birch millwork. The servants area of the home which would  have been the kitchen and the third floor have georgia pine millwork and maple flooring. This home has been owned by the Lillies, the Chapples of Chapples department stores and by Dr.Robert MacKenzie and family. The current owners, Patrice and David Atkinson, have been restoring the home to its original grandeur, a task not for the faint of heart. With the exception of the kitchen cabinets all the work has been done by contractor husband David.

Mark and I have used our personal items with assistance from Kate Fraser of Moss Cottage who used her talent for the outdoor fresh greens. For the interior greens and arrangements, Brittany Cordiero from Thula Floral Design, assisted. Tara Cook, a local interior decorator, and my mom Patti Fero, helped with the finishing.“
